FIRST ANNUAL SPRING CREEK PICNIC
Meet Supreme Court Justice Robert H. Jackson’s grandson.

All area residents are welcome. Bring your own hot dog or hamburger, bun and lawn chair. If you would like, you may bring a dish to share. Refreshments and desserts will be served.

2 PUBLIC MEETINGS BROKENSTRAW CREEK WATERSHED CONSERVATION PLAN & FIELD DAY

These meetings are scheduled to inform the public about a plan that is being created to conserve and enhance the natural resources within the Brokenstraw Creek Watershed. The Western Pennsylvania Conservancy’s (WPC) Freshwater Conservation Program through a grant from the Department of Conservation and Natural Resources (DCNR) is seeking to understand the views of residents and visitors of the communities within the watershed.

NATIONAL PUBLIC LANDS DAY, our nation’s largest hands-on volunteer effort to improve and enhance public lands.

The Forest Service would like assistance with non-native plant removal.

Where: Boat Launch area of Buckaloons Recreation Area

Please register in advance with April Moore at 814-728-6168 or email, so appropriate safety equipment can be provided. Wear pants, long-sleeve shirts, a hat, work gloves, and boots - no open-toed shoes or shorts. Please bring a favorite dish for the potluck luncheon after the work session.
